Heavy duty 4-5oz American buffalo leather. Buffalo has a very textured grain that takes several uses to break in, but is worth the time for a hard wearing glove. Buffalo leather offers our highest abrasion resistance glove and forms to your hand as you break it in with limited stretch. A fantastic all around work and chore glove. All purchases are cut and hand sewn to order. Please allow one week for product to ship! All leathers come from natural hides which may contain scarring, giving each pair its own character.
Measure around your palm... If you don't have a soft tape measure.. use a string, mark it, lay it flat and measure it. This will give you your general size. If you like more or less room you could go up or down from there. See illustration by going to top of the website and selecting About :: Sizing. Buffalo has very little stretch, consider staying right at your measurement or sizing up to make it a roomier glove.

The Buffalo ropers are my fifth pair of Sullivan gloves and I enjoy and use every pair I’ve purchased!
Great fit and good for hard working. I will be back for more!
These are the BEST motorcycle gloves ever!! I purchased my first pair in the spring of 2006 and just now (spring of 2022) had to retire them. Sullivan gloves are comfortable and (obviously) very durable. Well worth the price.
Use these gloves for cutting down trees and landscape work. They’re tough yet comfortable. It’s hard to see such a nice looking glove be used and abused but it is taking it like a champ. It is a little tight when wearing a wedding band but hopefully that will stretch out. Will buy again. Will also look into the vintage deerskin gloves for wearing around town.
I can't give an honest review, as I can't wear the gloves. I own some Elkskin Ropers in XL, and they're too big, so I ordered the Buffalo Ropers in Large, and they're too small...
Sorry to hear this - the buffalo is way less stretchy than the elk, I think the XL Buffalo would do the trick for you, slightly wider than the large but not as loose as the elk hides are for a form fitting glove.
